Kris Lehnhardt

Owner

Dr. Kris Lehnhardt is a Professor of Emergency Medicine and the Director of Space Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston). Previously, he was an Associate Professor with the Baylor College of Medicine in the Center for Space Medicine and Department of Emergency Medicine, as well as the Element Scientist for Exploration Medical Capability at the NASA Johnson Space Center. He is board-certified in Emergency Medicine in both Canada and the U.S. He works clinically and teaches in the Emergency Department at the busiest Level 1 trauma center in the United States. Prior to these positions, Kris was an Attending Physician and Assistant Professor at The George Washington University (GWU) School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Kris is a reservist in the Royal Canadian Air Force, a private pilot, and a PADI advanced open water SCUBA diver.

Emma Lehnhardt

Emma Lehnhardt is an aerospace leader with 15+ years experience working on multibillion-dollar space and technology initiatives. She was most recently a core member of the Gateway Program formulation and leadership team, serving as the Program Planning & Control (PP&C) manager for 7 years. In her role as the PP&C manager Emma led the team responsible for all the business operations, financial management, and program governance for the $7B+ Gateway program.

Previous experience includes leading agency-wide strategic initiatives and budget planning for NASA’s $20B+ portfolio, as well as five years in the defense and aerospace consulting sector.
